The Pedagogical Committee

Emmanuelle: Educational Director (ages 3 to 11)

Enthusiastic and thoughtful, Emmanuelle shared her management and quality control skills right from the inception of the Ellipse project. In fact, she opened the first elementary class in 2017 from both a pedagogical and operational point of view.

After initial training in management and science, and several years spent working for a large firm, Emmanuelle turned to AMI training for 3- to 6-year-olds and then 6- to 12-year-olds. She puts her many skills to effective use with teams and families and is heavily involved in the school’s development. She also organizes ongoing training for the teams and ensures the pedagogical quality of the entire primary school.

Anna: Educational Coordinator (Ages 2 to 6)

Originally from the USA, Anna is an AMI certified English speaking educator for 3- to 6-year-olds, with initial training in theatre arts. She brings a wealth of experience working with children and families in bilingual (and even trilingual) environments abroad. After participating in the creation of the first elementary class in 2017, Anna coordinated the opening of the Infant Community and Children’s House the following year. On a daily basis, she embodies and promotes Anglo-Saxon positive discipline with teams and children. She has inspired many of the training courses Ellipse has set up for the entire team.

Karima: Middle School Director (Ages 11 to 15) -  Head of Middle School (11-15 years)

Karima joined the team in 2018 in the elementary class. With a background in Educational Sciences and Psychology, and a diploma in AMI 3 to 6 and 6 to 12, Karima has always had her heart set on preparing children for Middle School. It was only natural that in 2020, she should become project manager for Ellipse Middle School. After a year spent creating an innovative program blending various active pedagogies and National Education skills, the Middle School opened in 2021 under Karima’s direction.

Christine: Middle School Coordinator (Ages 11 to 15)

A teacher for 18 years in the Paris region, Christine first took the CRPE exam to become a primary school teacher. After 7 years in elementary school, Christine decided to return to training. She then became a secondary school teacher, specializing in students for whom it was necessary to adapt the middle school curriculum on an individual basis. Drawing on her 6 years’ experience at a state secondary school, she embarked on the Montessorian adventure motivated by a desire to teach in a stimulating and caring environment. Now a French speaking educator and pedagogical coordinator for the middle school program, she is AMI 12 to 18 certified.

Christine is entering her fourth year at Ellipse Middle School. From the outset, she has worked hard to create a coherent environment and a quality program that combines national academic curricula with the development of multiple skills.
